For the Sino-German Energy Partnership, 2019 marked another successful implementation year covering the topics power sector, flexibilization, electricity market reforms, sustainable heating, energy efficiency in industry and buildings as well as new focus topics including hydrogen and biomethane. An important highlight was the successful conclusion of a joint two-year demonstration project on energy efficiency in heavy industry, implemented by GIZ, German Energy Agency dena, and China’s National Energy Conservation Center (NECC). Next to different roundtables and technology forums, the first Sino-German Energy Efficiency Cooperation Projects Award marked the highlight of our private sector cooperation.
