In order to investigate the technical and economic feasibility of recycling flexible plastic package waste from municipal solid waste through chemical recycling methods, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Beijing Normal University (BNU), Suzhou Urban Construction & Investment Development Co., Ltd., Zhejiang COMY Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. and COMY Chemical Recycling Institute collaborated on “Chemical Recycling of Flexible Plastics Waste from Municipal Solid Waste in Suzhou”. In line with the objectives, flexible plastic packaging waste from the residential compounds in Suzhou has been collected and carried out to chemical recycling pilot-scale experiments and hydrogenation post-processing.
