Co-directed by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and organized by the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center, Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the event of the “ASEAN- China Dialogue on Climate Change and Environment ” and “ASEAN- China Environmental Cooperation Forum 2022”, will be held in Nanning, Guangxi on September 15-16, 2022, with the theme of “Promoting Harmonious Co-existence of Human and Nature, Creating a New Era of Green and Low Carbon”, targeting on promoting the synergy of environmental policies and building an authoritative channel and important bridge connecting all sectors of society to participate in regional ecological and environmental cooperation during the time of the 31st year of dialogue between China and ASEAN.
GIZ, as one of the co-organizers, will provide support to the parallel forum on “Low Carbon Urban Development – Prospects for the Development and Cooperation of Climate-Resilient Cities”. The forum brought together experts, scholars and business representatives from the plastics and circular economy industry, focusing on plastic pollution control in coastal cities and discussing the synergy between carbon neutrality and plastic pollution control in cities among context of the UNEA5.2 on plastic pollution control.
