This report identifies current projects and policies on the development of both commercial as well as private fuel cell vehicles (FCV) in China, focusing especially on the promising Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and projects the economic viability of different FCV technologies for a number of rollout scenarios until 2030. In the assessment and projections, significant promise of green hydrogen as an emission-neutral, economically viable propellant at large scales is identified. Based on all findings a comprehensive framework for the introduction and support of FCV in the JJJ Region is then suggested and it is considered, what role Germany can play in such a shift.
