Daniel Bongardt, project director at GIZ China, presented in Shenzhen on the fruitful cooperation between the Chinese metropolis and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). The objective of the cooperation is to actively exchange in the development of policy, technology and tools for the development of sustainable urban transport systems. This includes congestion mitigation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preventing further negative environmental impacts of urban transport.
From the overall approach of GIZ on low-carbon transport, to good practice examples from Germany up to the actual cooperation between Shenzhen and GIZ.
